There are numerous kinds of style, size, length and types of Guns to know. There are two main categories of guns in this modern age. They are long guns and shotguns. Long guns usually include rifles and shotguns. There are different mechanisms used for each type of firearm. to pull out the bullet
1. Pistols
There are two types of pistols. It is single-shot pistol and semi-automatic handgun.
Pistols are handguns which don’t have attachable revolving cylinders. These days most of the pistols are semi-automatic one. Such pistols need to load cartridges from a detachable magazine located in the grip. New pistols with modern technology carry up to 17 rounds in a magazine. Some of the types of pistol include Glock 17 and the Army’s new M17 Modular Handgun system.
2. Revolvers
The revolvers has limit upto six to seven rounds. Revolvers used by many as it is simple and compact to get in your pockets and to carry. Mostly revolvers considers for more powerful from other types of guns like semi-automatic and shotguns. Its rotating part, known as cylinders, has six chambers. Each chamber holds a single cartridge. The ejection rod removes the empty cartridge from the chambers. Hammer is pulled back and the rotating chamber gets in for triggering a shot. This is known as cocking. Cocking the trigger is automatically pulled back. A small pressure on the trigger will shoot a bullet. Some examples of shotguns are Smith & Wesson Model 686 and the Ruger GP100.
3. Shotguns
Mostly shotguns used for hunting, Competitions and personal defence. Its shotshells get loaded into the magazine through the bottom of the receiver. The compressed magazine keeps stress loaded on it. You need to press the action bar lock. That allows the fore-end to get pulled to the front. A shell is fed into the receiver as it comes back. It automatically pushes the fore-end and lifts the shell and the bolt guides into the chamber.
Some modern shotgun examples are Mossberg 500 and Remington 870.
4. Semi-Automatic Rifles
For semi-automatic rifles, the firearm shot a bullet in a single shot each time the trigger gets squeezed. Using a semi-automatic rifle you can aim multiple targets for each round. Most modern automatic rifles are selective fire, which means the user can fire semi-automatically if desired. For long firing from a semi-automatic, you must arrange its firing mechanism. In such a way that the weapon will fire continuously. For that, you should apply pressure on the trigger. And you need the firearm to act on the aimed target. Some semi-automatics include AR-15 and Browning Bar rifles.
5. Lever Action Rifles
Mostly lever-action firearms are rifles and some lever-action shotguns, and a few pistols. It is similar to a cowboy rifle. Lever action rifles are repeating firearms and gets activated manually. You just need to operate a cocking lever located near the trigger guard area. It triggers the pivots forward to move the bolt through internal linkages. The Internal linkages will feed and extract cartridges into or out of the barrel chamber. Prepares the hammer and striker for firing. This proceeds with repeating actions such as a bolt action, pump action. and semi-automatic or automatic selective-fire actions. Modern types of Rifles are Winchester 94 and Marlin 336.
