New Mexico Squirrel Revival!
Long story short, we had a troublesome squirrel that got into
the house
somehow and we had to get rid of him. Enter the Figure-4 trigger. Took
a couple of tries but we got him!
Here's some pics and again, you gotta hear the story!

We figured he was coming through a furnace access in the pantry so we set the trap between the kitchen and pantry. The first set was made with a plastic milk crate. We taped the handle holes up because we didn't know exactly how big he was then smeared crunchy peanut butter on the trigger stick.
Well, we caught him but he was a pretty healthy specimen of a squirrel and he kept butting the basket back towards the pantry and after about 3 feet, the basket fell over the edge of the step and he got away. Second set was made with a heavier basket... for two reasons. One, obviously, it was heavier and I hoped he wouldn't be able to move it and, two, it LOOKED different and I hoped the appearance of it wouldn't remind him of what just happened the day before.
We came in at the end of the day and peaked around the corner and guess what? We GOT HIM!!
BTW, squirrels LOVE peanut butter. This guy let his love for PB affect his judgement 2-3 times
